Clarification: GUO is NOT a Variation of the Surname GO

During the time when the controversial former mayor, Alice Guo, was summoned, some people referred to her as Alice Go. Some think that Guo is a variation of Go. However, it's Goh, not Guo, that's the common variation. I researched the Guo surname and found a character different from Go (which is Wu) in Mandarin.

Guo is spelled out as "郭" (Pinyin: Guō), and the Hokkien variation is Keh or Que. The surname Go is å³  (Mandarin Pinyin: WĆŗ), which is a totally different character from Guo. It was easy to call Alice Guo as Alice Go. Also, the surname Guo is more common among Mainland Chinese (where the national language is Mandarin), while Chinoys are either Hokkien or Cantonese speakers. I've known some people with Cantonese surnames like Chan and Wong. I've known some Chinese Filipinos with the surname Chan (which is Tan in Hokkien), but they never spoke Cantonese. 

Alice's Chinese name is apparently written as éƒ­čÆ萍 (Guō HuĆ”pĆ­ng), not 吳čÆ萍 (WĆŗ HuĆ”pĆ­ng).

Yes, disasters can happen during the Christmas Season. Google " Christmas Day disasters " and you will find that Christmas isn't immune to disasters. Why I Think Banning the Mention of Hitler on Facebook is STUPID

Getty Images It's crazy how reporting a comment with the word "Hitler" can get anyone banned. For example, this is what I found on Quora : They should be allowed. there are quotes of his that are not in praise of hitler but showing how he thought so that people are critical of their current leaders . For example, here’s a quote by him “ How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think.” This is a perfect example of why Hitler quotes should be allowed; to show how dictators think and how people should be critical.   While looking for an Aborigine song that gave me an earworm--I found this interesting aboriginal song. By looking at this video, I suspect that this song is actually a love song between a man and a woman,. It does sound very Ifugao-like as well.

A Common Sense Challenge to the Supreme Court Decision Regarding the Chiong Sisters Case

Several years ago, Case Unclosed featured an episode about the Chiong Sisters, a few years before Give Up Tomorrow came out. One of the things I could say is that GMA-7 is far less biased than ABS-CBN in news reporting. The late Antonio "Tony" Calvento even aired a dramatization of Davidson Rusia's testimony , which had NiƱo Muhlach play as Juan Francisco "Paco" Larranaga . It's easy to say, "Unlike you, I read the Supreme Court decision." This came out a year after the controversial case involving the late Federico "Toto" Natividad and his controversial film Animal  had ended in 2007. Apparently, Animal (2004),  which was released as Butakal (1999),  still remains banned.
