Real Talk: Kakampink Fanatics Aren't Above Personality-Based Politics

Asia Society

I didn't want to write this post. However, I feel some urgency, especially with some people who have low reading comprehension, and made Ad Homimen attacks against Senator Robinhood Padilla. Should it be a surprise to a nation where reading comprehension is in danger? Now, I'd like to write another topic. It's crazy how some Kakampinks may think they're above personality-based politics. However, take a look at the picture above this paragraph. It's no different from the Marcos fanatics, Duterte fanatics, etc. That's why there's the term Noytard, Dutertard, Marcostard, etc. The -tard is from retard, which means someone who was an intellectual disability. However, I think -tard is too good since a retarded person may actually be behaving more decently than people with a graduate school or doctorate degree, from highly prestigious universities.

It makes me think of Gerry Cacandindin's posts on Facebook. Thankfully, his Facebook profile is off-limits to non-contacts. Otherwise, I might've already given him some real talk, not just a Ted Talk. The guy might think he's above personality-based politics. However, the guy has already been into personality politics like:
  1. Talking about the late former president Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" C. Aquino III as if he were without flaws. Noynoy had his accomplishments, but he had his flaws. We need to look into both.
  2. He has the tendency to paint Atty. Maria Leonor "Leni" Gerona-Robredo, as if she's some kind of fairy godmother, who will solve problems overnight.
  3. Calling Ma'am Heidi and Atty. Luke is "the answer", rather than providing the answer. Again, if that's not personality-based politic,s then what is?

Reading his posts on Twitter is similar to reading Butthurt Philippines. I'm thankful that Butthurt Philippines has already blocked me. The artist Lico Reloj made this artwork. So much for criticizing Noynoy. Now, if this isn't personality-based politics, then I wonder what it is? Of course, it seems that Lico himself is basically a balimbing. Balimbing is an expression used to describe a turncoat. Balimbing is also the Filipino word for star fruit. Now moving on...

This of course is one of the commetns I got into an argument with Lico. If this was written on April 1, we'd get it. Some people think I don't get sarcasm. Okay, I understand that word elonggation is often used to convey sarcasm. However, the word elonggation was written in the word "magkaisa" meaning "let's unite". The word elonggation could've been used in "did nothing wrong" and "perfect", like saying "diiiiiid noooootttthhinnnggg wroooonggg" and "peerrrffeeect". People often elongate words to conveyy their sarcasm. If Lico were just being sarcastic when he posted it, did he even read 11 ways to indicate sarcasm, such as the use of italics and the most obvious quotation marks? It's no surprise now that Lico has been sharing Gerry's posts. It's probably because they think alike.

But again, Lico who says the facts are butthurt, is really butthurt himself. It doesn't help that he actually tried to gaslight me more than once. Too bad I didn't screenshot it before the page blocked me. But either way, their criticism has been pretty much proof that they're not above personality-based politics. Sure, they could be anti-Duterte for all I care. However, they lack the intellectual approach of people like the late Charles Edmund "Carlos" P. Celdran and economist Andrew James Masigan. In my own opinion, the use of comic strips over writing a post (with pictures, if needed) may reveal Lico's rather stubborn mind

In all of these, it's annoying how the Kakampink fanatics have this entitlement mentality. It's no different than the Duterte fanatics who are smearing the Kakampink fanatics. All these fights spring out from personality-based politics.

Wrong Assumption: Those Who Wish to Reform the 1987 Constitution are Automatically Marcos Loyalists and Diehard Duterte Supporters

Orion Perez Dumdum, founder of the CoRRECT Movement was featured in the INQUIRER.net page. It's no surprise that there would be detractors every now and then. Some people still believe that the 1987 Constitution of the Philippines is "inviolate". If that were so then why does Article XVII exist that the constitution is open for amendments ? It's no surprise that some idiot alleged that Orion is actually a Marcos supporter. The arguments by the anti-reforms are basically Nom Sequitur and Ad Hominem . The use of personal attacks and illogical conclusions are common argument flaws. In fact, one just needs to understand the poor Filipino logic . I remember all the stupidity going on. It's funny such people accuse me of Ad Hominems while doing Ad Hominems themselves! What I'd like to focus on is the Nom Sequitur. Its definition is: 1 : an inference (see inference sense 1) that does not follow from the premises (see premise entry 1 sense 1) specifically : a fallacy...

BRUTAL Truth: Stop HOPING for Another "PNoy-Like President" Because the Parliamentary System will Produce MUCH BETTER Leaders

Let me get this straight, I'm not here to totally dismiss the good that the late Benigno Simeon "Ninoy" C. Aquino III did. I'll try to be least biased  when I'm writing this to "give a shock" to those who tend to treat his term as a "magical time". However, I'm going to have to warn people about the problem of looking for "another Messiah leader". Yesterday was the would've been 66th birthday of Noynoy if he were alive. One can talk good about Noynoy's legacy. However, we need to realize that relying on Noynoy's term is a violation of the Mahathir Mohamad principle of "Never stop learning."  We need to think that there's only one Noynoy and when he died, he died . TV-5 reveals that Rep. Edgar Erice, a long-time friend of the late leader, also said the following: Caloocan City 2nd District Rep. Edgar Erice made the remark in a social media post marking Aquino’s 66th birth anniversary.  In the post, he co...

The Three Drug Mules Executed in China Last March 30, 2011

Al Jazeera Today is March 30, 2026. It has been 15 years since the execution of the three drug mules. Their names are Sally Ordinario-Villanueva, Ramon Credo (who was cremated in China shortly after his execution), and Elizabeth Batain (whose face was never revealed, perhaps due to the loved ones requesting more privacy). Contrary to what one might think, the three drug mules weren't a trio. Instead, they were three separate cases that just happened to be scheduled to die on the same day.  They weren't a trio. They had a temporary reprieve when  former vice president Jejomar Binay tried to save them . Villanueva, together with Ramon Credo and Elizabeth Batain, was scheduled to be executed last month but got a reprieve after Vice President Jejomar Binay traveled to China and personally appealed to Chinese authorities. BBC   News even gave such a short news report, that I felt compelled to copy/paste the whole time as a reference here: Philippine Vice-President Jejomar Bin...

Justice for Kingston Ralph Ko Cheng

Would you still want to hate to follow rules? Well, it's time to think about the tragic loss of Kingston Ralph Ko Cheng , who lost his life because someone in the road didn't want to follow simple guidelines. It was two days ago when, suddenly, Kington's life was taken away from him. It was difficult for me to process what happened. I would like to share my thoughts of this reckless incident of what happens when laws are ignored. Either you become the victim (for not following rules) or you end up someone who follows rules (like what happened to Kingston). Here's something I found on Facebook : The Price of Paper Laws   Kingston Ralph Ko Cheng was 23. A Monash university graduate, a talented musician, and a cafĂ© owner, he moved back to Cebu to build a life. That life ended on a pedestrian crossing near his home.   A speeding Toyota Innova hit him with such force it threw his body into a utility pole. The driver, 21-year-old Sean Andrew Pajarillo, had already hit a parke...

No to Cha Cha Because of EDSA?

Back when I was in elementary, we were told that EDSA 1986 was a good thing. I don't want to deny the well-documented human rights abuses of the first Marcos Administration . The repeated call to amend or reform the constitution has unfortunately been demonized as if it's always a bad thing. I guess that's a result of people with poor reading (and listening) comprehension for so long . If only people started to read in-between the details of Philippine history, if only people read through the book From Third World to First and not just quote the late Lee Kuan Yew about the Marcoses, they'll see that using EDSA to demonize charter change is really a bad move. Startling facts during the Marcos Years that may have been ignored by anti-charter change proponents What happened during EDSA was practically a revolutionary government . Above is a video of the late Benigno Simeon A. Aquino Jr. aka Ninoy. I confess that I do tend to admire Ninoy, especially with his Los Angeles sp...
