It's crazy when a regular civilian talks more sense than the American mass media. The video I watched brought me to the Jordan Neely incident. This was also the video that had me thinking about leftists who think "CEOs are evil and they have the easiest job in the world!" People who say no billionaire has worked as hard as the water, don't realize that the more money one has, the heavier the responsibility.
While listening to this commentary, I was curious and Googled "Jordan Neely". It turned out that the homeless man was a criminal. Times Now reveals this staggering detail:
Neely had 43 prior arrests between 2013 and 2021, according to the authorities. Four alleged assaults, transportation fraud, and trespassing were among the charges. Additionally, he has an ongoing warrant for an assault in 2021. Low-level violations like public drinking were the subject of several arrests. The NYPD came under fire for making Neely's medical and criminal records public. The New York Civil Liberties Union's Beth Haroules denounced the revelation. She said it appeared to "vilify him while protecting the identity of his killer," as quoted Newsweek.
Besides, Daniel Penny was trying to protect passengers from Jordan. Come on! Isn't it obvious? Does a white man have to be automatically evil according to some black men? What happened to the cause of fighting for equal rights for Americans of different racial backgrounds? It would be easy to bash Misha here because she's well, a white girl. However, what if it was an African American who subdued Neely? What would racist African Americans have to say? Some African Americans are no better than the white supremacists they hate.
The recent assassination of Brian Thompson also raises another issue. What shocks me (or shouldn't) is that the suspected killer Luigi Mangione was a valedictorian. It's not to demonize all valedictorians. However, this might show that not all honor students are going to turn out right. Some honor students are still turning out right. Others are turning out wrong. Let's not throw a hasty generalization. However, celebrate Luigi as a hero? I don't know what really happened.
It was most likely an act of vengeance. However, does that make the crime justifiable? The answer is still no. Murder is murder. I don't know what grievance Luigi held against Thompson.
he tragedy of Thompson’s death aside, the early-morning killing sparked a conversation on social media about the negative experiences patients and families have had with health insurance companies — a swirl of chatter that Fox says could say a lot about a potential motive.
“In a case like this, without the knowledge of what was written on the bullets, one may say that he could have been an employee of the company who was terminated. But the phrase on the ammunition suggests something different,” Fox says. “It might be that someone, the gunman or someone close to him, was insured by this company and was denied the kind of coverage that they hoped for, and probably suffered tremendously.”
“If that’s the case,” Fox continues, “one way to approach it would be to examine denials and see if there were any instances where, following the denial, there was a record of any loud or threatening conversation between individuals.”
Were the leftists celebrating because a CEO died or was it because a a corrupt CEO died? I can't be certain. However, there's always this problem of people who hate the rich simply because they're rich. They even say that it's impossible to go from rags to riches without engaging in something dubious. However, their best source is just "Trust Me Bro" instead of citing a valid source. Who can say that leftists really care about the poor and the working class? In fact, some policies they advocate for will eventually hurt the poor and the working class with inflation. They can't alter the facts of economics either.
As I listened to it, I'm simply cringing at America's intellectual decline!
