Recalling Amos Yee's Anti-LKY Rants As He Gets His UNSURPRISING Worst of the Worst Status in American Soil

PHOTO: US DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY

Who can remember Amos Yee, that brat who badmouthed the late Lee Kuan Yew? It's been 10 years and several months since LKY died on March 23, 2015. According to The Straits Times article written by Chinese Singaporean writer Daniel Lai, it should be interesting to note that he's the only Singaporean among the arrested. This is what Lai wrote about Amos, which should be disturbing at several levels.
The webpage states that Yee was convicted of enticement of a minor for indecent purposes, sexual exploitation of a minor via photograph and sexual exploitation of a minor via telecommunications. It added that he was arrested in Chicago, Illinois.

The 27-year-old child sex offender is in the custody of ICE after he was released on parole on Nov 20. He is last known to have been detained at the Dodge Detention Facility in Wisconsin, a four-hour drive from Illinois, where he was serving a six-year jail term for child pornography and sexual grooming.

Yee entered the US in December 2016 to seek asylum after repeated run-ins with the law in Singapore over controversial comments that were derogatory to Christians and Muslims.

He was granted asylum in March 2017, despite opposition from DHS, and was released from detention in September that year.

In 2020, Yee was indicted by a grand jury in an Illinois court for solicitation and possession of child pornography.

He had exchanged nude photos and messages with a 14-year-old girl from Texas while he was in Chicago, and was sentenced on Dec 2, 2021.

Barely halfway into his six-year jail term, he was released on parole on Oct 7, 2023, but was re-arrested the following month.

So far, the reason for his reincarceration remains unknown at its fullest. The only thing stated this news from the Channel News Asia:

The message said he was held at the Stateville Correctional Center, a maximum security prison in Crest Hill, Illinois.

In response to queries from CNA, the Department of Corrections said on Thursday that Yee was readmitted on a parole violation.

"That is the only information we can provide," it added.

But after realizing this, I remember how Amos disrespected LKY before he went to four weeks in jail, for badmouthing religion. For a person who has a huge degree of admiration for LKY, I have the tendency to feel that Amos actually deserved it. However, some say the punishment was excessive. It seems that, given Amos' crime in the USA, it looks like he was getting into trouble with the law more than once. The guy was probably already guilty of similar offenses, while he was only 17 years old. Yee was 20 when the incident happened with the girl from Texas.

Either way, I felt that this guy thought he could get away without consequences. If that's true then this should be a somber warning against raising spoiled children.

Ghosts or Money: the Witnesses of the Chiong Sisters' Case

As it's July and it's been raining hard , it's hard for me not to think of the Chiong Sisters case. It's because the two sisters disappeared during a rainy evening . Sure, it's already been more than 20 years. However, an injustice for one is an injustice for all. In this case, it's not just injustice for the #Chiong7, the families of the #Chiong7--but also for the Chiong family. There's really no real justice when the wrong people are convicted.  As I watched Jacqueline Comes Home --I can't help but comment where God supposedly spoke to Thelma Jimenea-Chiong, where Mrs. Chiong went to a group of seances (which may have never happened and Mrs. Chiong stormed out of the theater, crying, during the rape scenes), and a scene where Marijoy's ghost was at the ravine at Tan-awan, Carcar. Now, it's time to look at another angle of the witnesses that came forward to incriminate Paco. Were there ghosts or money? This would be an interesting question to as...

When July 4 Goes from Philippine Independence Day to Philippine-American Friendship Day

I remembered back in Civics and Culture class when it was taught that July 4 was originally a holiday. Instead, it was moved to June 12. July 4, 1946, became the end of the Commonwealth Government of America. Think about it like it was the handover of the British of Hong Kong back to the Chinese government. I remembered there was a one-time holiday when July 4 had no classes because it was Philippine-American friendship day. The Americans freely gave the Philippines its independence from the Commonwealth. However, the Philippines did become a republic on June 12, 1998. I did remember celebrating the centennial celebration of the founding of the Philippines. It was in 1962 when the late Diosdado Macapagal, the father of Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, issued Proclamation No. 28 . It's because it was in 1898 when the Philippines managed to gain independence from Spain and declare a republic . For a time, the Philippines fell under American control but not without having decla...

Very Easy to Say, "I'm Sure!" and Be Wrong, Am I Right?

I guess that foolish old man did the right thing to block me on social media. The old man remained incorrigible while having his toga display, apparently getting a doctorate.  An earlier post I wrote was about the misuse and abuse of CTTO . I even wonder who in the world is Merkado CTTO? It's very easy to use CTTO to look smart. However, real studies need more than CTTO but several sources. It should be several valid sources and not just sources you agree with. I was laughing at this old man in a toga (who has thankfully blocked me after I tried to refute his errors as a  nobody ) who tends to use CTTO. I think he was also fond of saying, "I'm sure!" and then it ends up with several stupid claims. Such people would be in what might be best called the MARITES Pyramid of Learning (read here ). These people's best sources can be summarized as "Trust me bro" or "Just trust me". In the case of the meme I made, the peak of the pyramid is, "Jus...

Gani Tribe Dancing to the Song "Mountain and Sea" (山與海)

There's really something so beautiful about aboriginal language songs. Some versions of the song "Girl of Mt. Alisan" featured an aboriginal language chant. Landing into the aboriginal songs in Taiwan gives me a sense of awe. This is another random song that came out in my recommendations! Enjoy!
